Terms. In plain English.
Last updated 3 October 2026. Plain English. Draft, pending legal review.
The short version
You can collect clips and watch your finished film free. Pay once to share it or download it. Bigger films are paid before we make them. You own your clips and your film. Don’t use Warmcut to hurt anyone.
Who can use Warmcut
Organisers must be 18 or older. Contributors of any age may record with permission from the organiser and, for children, a parent or guardian.
Your content
You keep ownership of every clip, photo and film. You give Warmcut permission to store, process and deliver them so we can make your film. Contributors give the organiser permission to include their clip and photos in a private gift film. Once a film is made it is one video file: the clips and photos in it cannot be removed from that film. Withdrawing keeps them out of every later version.
What you can’t do
Upload content you don’t have the right to share. Record someone without their knowledge where that is unlawful. Use Warmcut to harass, threaten or deceive. Try to break into other people’s projects.
Payment
Prices are shown in the currency you pick on the pricing page; local tax is included where the law requires it. You watch your finished film free and pay once to share or download it. Films with more than 10 contributors are paid once, before rendering. Because you see the whole film before you pay, refunds are at our discretion. If something is wrong, write to us and we will make it right.
Our promise and its limits
We do our best to make a film you love. Warmcut chooses and orders the moments; it never writes or changes anyone’s words. We can’t promise a particular result or that the service will never be interrupted.
Ending things
You can delete a project at any time. We may remove content that breaks these terms. Australian law applies.
