18th birthday gift
Eighteen years of people, in one film.
The grandparents, the godparents, the teacher who mattered, the friends from school. Everyone who watched them grow up, saying so.
An eighteenth is the last birthday of childhood and the first of the rest. The people who were there for the whole of it, grandparents, aunts, family friends, are still here, and so are the school friends who will scatter next year. A film from all of them is the gift that is still around when they are forty. One link from you, a minute each from them, and Warmcut makes the film.

Why an 18th suits a film
An eighteenth has two audiences: the family, who have the baby photos and the stories, and the friends, who have this year’s stories. A film holds both without them having to be in the same room. The grandparents record from their kitchen, the friends record on the bus, and the birthday person gets the whole picture of who they are at eighteen.
Who usually organises it
A parent, most often. You send one link to the family and another to the friends by WhatsApp or text, two weeks ahead. Each person records a minute on their phone. No app and no account, so the grandparents manage it alone. Warmcut trims the pauses, levels every voice, puts the messages in story order and adds music and captions.
Give it quietly
Most eighteen-year-olds do not want a film played in front of their friends. Send the link in the morning, or watch it together as a family before the party. Pay once to remove the watermark, share the private link and download it so it is theirs to keep.
Other ideas
Honest alternatives. A film is not always the answer.
A film from everyone (Warmcut)
Best when the family is spread out and you want a gift that is still there in twenty years. From US$19. Give it privately; most eighteen-year-olds would rather not be the subject at the party.
Money
What most eighteen-year-olds actually want, and there is nothing wrong with it. Pair it with the film so the only memory of the day is not a transfer.
The first grown-up thing
A good watch, a proper bag, a piece of jewellery. One gift from one person, and it lasts. It does not carry the voices of everyone else.
A trip or a ticket
A festival, a flight, a concert with friends. Loved, and gone by the end of the month.

FAQ
18th birthday questions. Short answers.
Will an 18-year-old be embarrassed by this?
In front of their friends, possibly. On their own, no. Give it privately. It is the gift from an eighteenth that people still have at thirty.
Can school friends and family be in the same film?
Yes. One link goes to both. Nobody sees anyone else’s clip and Warmcut puts the messages in story order.
How many people should record?
Fifteen to thirty is typical for an eighteenth. Bigger ones have no limit on people.
How much does it cost?
Free to collect clips and watch, with a small watermark. Pay once from US$19 to remove it, share the private link and download the film.
